How to revive your body skin this winter

Spring is almost here, but many of us are still thinking  of winter, when it comes to our skin.

It’s the first line of defence against the cold elements. The outside cold, wind and dry indoor heating leave rough and dry patches all over our bodies. And it’s easy to revive your skin.

I noticed that my face is much dryer; my elbows tend to get a little cracked, as well as my hands e dry air of winter dehydrates skin, especially on extremities, which have fewer oil glands.

Adjusting your diet: Foods that are good for your skin would be ones that contain omega-3 fatty acids, such as flax seed, salmon and walnuts all this can be found in pharmacies.

Also, try actually wearing your food, like olive oil. Studies show it soothes and conditions itchy, dry skin and removes makeup. And when your skin feels extra parched, dab a thin layer under your moisturizer for an extra dose of antioxidants.

The cold days of winter bring more than just a rosy glow to the cheeks. They also bring uncomfortable dryness to the skin of the face, hands, and feet. For some of the problems are worse than just a general dry feeling, they may get skin so dry it results in cracking. Cold temperatures are to blame. Even though you don’t have a skin condition, you must always take steps to keep your skin from getting too dry in winter weather. For example, you should have a heater at home that will provide more warmth, but remember that it can also causes block/flu out if it is misused.

Apply heavy creams: Creams like Aqueous, Nivea, and cocoa butter really can help this winter. They moisture the body and they work best when glycerine is added but it just depend on your skin type.  Avoid deodorant bars, antibacterial soaps, perfumed soaps, and skin care products with alcohol while limiting your showers to no more than ten minutes.

Blue seal Vaseline: it is also one of the best, some people don’t apply it because it causes cracks to their body. Overall it’s best when your skin cannot absorb body creams. When applied, it helps a lot especially in the nostril area and hands.

Dry, itchy skin from winter weather can also cause certain health problems. Low temperatures and low humidity levels raise your risk of eczema flares. To prevent the dryness, itching, blistering, and cracking on your hands, moisturize them and then slip on gloves before heading out.

If your skin does flare up, choose soft, breathable fabrics, like cotton instead of wool or polyester. Loose clothing will also help protect your skin from chafing and becoming irritated. Staying healthy during the winter by getting a flu shot, getting good sleep, and exercising can help prevent flare ups.
